Oceania is the new London. Social life in Oceania is nothing everyone just goes to work and comes home. You don’t need too talk to anyone everyone just lives there life. Big brother himself was the last one left in 1970 everyone else that been exposed to traders, and this was the start of the revolution. Most of the everyone has been executed and that was how it was.I think their life is hard but they seem pretty chill about it and happy to be able to help the government. They have no intellectual thoughts that makes them easy do they don’t have anybody watching them. They were high in the revision party. What had happened was that they had confessed to being on enemy soil during the war. They had been found with broken noses and then executed publicly. But what Winston had done was he he was at the newspaper office and had slipped into a folder. Out of the folder had come a paper. The paper had said that their confessions were lies. That there were photographed images of them in New York, when they were suppose to be on enemy territories.
He liked this shop because it was filled with a past without the government and it was like a happy place for him because he learned about stuff that the government might not want you to know about
